The following statement was made today by the Minister of Infrastructure, Bob Chiarelli:
"Premier McGuinty led the way to protect the jobs these projects are creating, and we are pleased the federal government has listened. Some projects need a little extra time, and it just makes sense to give them one more construction season.
"We've said for some time, it would not make sense to build four walls and not the roof. We need to keep pushing forward on these projects, to create needed jobs in our communities today, and lasting legacies that will improve the quality of life for Ontario families for years to come."
